Ian Murray believes that shackling Rangers' reunited strikeforce of Kris Boyd and Kenny Miller will be key to Dumbarton's chances of causing an upset today.

Ally McCoist's side make the trip to the Bet Butler Stadium a week after Boyd and Miller got back on the goal trail when they netted in the 6-1 win over Raith Rovers. It has been a frustrating start to the campaign for the duo and they will be keen to add to their tally this afternoon.

"I am sure the two of them will play after being rested on Tuesday night," said Murray.

"They are two experienced international players who can cause you problems and we will have to be at our best to keep those two under cover.

"But Rangers have a number of players that can score goals. We know it will be difficult for us but we know that if we get a bit of luck we can take something from the game.

"The longer the game goes 0-0, or even 1-0 against you, then you still have a chance.

"The second goal tends to be the killer and when you are two goals behind the likes of Hearts, Hibs or Rangers then it is very difficult for you to come back. We have to stay in the game as long as we can and give ourselves a shot."

Murray believes that attack will be the best form of defence as he looks to nullify Rangers' threat. "We got accused at Hibs, and last week, of defending but that wasn't our gameplan, that is just how the game pans out and you have to adapt to that," he said.

"At home, we are looking to approach it the same as any game and I believe that having two up is the best way for us."
