Paul Hartley, the Dundee manager, has confirmed that he intends to recuit a new goalkeeper after scans showed that No.1 Kyle Letheren has suffered cartilage damage.

The Welshman is expected to be out for up to two months.

Letheren suffered the injury while taking part in the pre-match warm up ahead of the league meeting with Motherwell on Saturday, with Scott Bairn stepping in. However, Hartley has already started work on finding further cover.

"We are working on something," he said. "Scott has had to bide his time but maybe now this is his chance to show what he can do."
