DUNDEE UTD:
RADOSLAW CIERZNIAK: Helpless at all the goals but did pull off important saves to twice deny Kris Commons his hat-trick. 7/10.
KEITH WATSON: Failed to deal with Victor Wanyama at the back post for Celtic's second goal but produced a reasonable performance overall. 6.
JOHN SOUTTAR: The 16-year-old rarely appeared overawed by the occasion despite his lack of experience and coped well on the big stage. 6.
SEAN DILLON: A decent display from the defender, who largely managed to subdue Gary Hooper and restrict his efforts up front. 7.
BARRY DOUGLAS: Caused problems with balls into the box and provided a superb free-kick for Jon Daly's first goal. 7.
MARK MILLAR: Left in Commons' wake at the opening goal and picked up a booking before being replaced midway through the second half as United chased the tie. 6.
WILLO FLOOD: A hard-working performance in the middle of the park. 6.
JOHN RANKIN: Delivered an industrious shift and was unlucky not to be among the goals after seeing a good chance blocked. 7.
RYAN GAULD: The teenager showed great composure when teeing up Gary Mackay-Steven and handled the occasion well overall. 7.
JON DALY: Carved out a couple of good opportunities for himself and left Fraser Forster with no chance with both of his headers. Denied by the woodwork in extra-time. 8.
GARY MACKAY-STEVEN: A bundle of energy, he offered a creative spark and capped off a well-worked move with a first-half goal. 7.
SUBSTITUTES:
STUART ARMSTRONG (MILLAR, 63): Thrown into the action in the second half and struggled to make an impact. 3.
MICHAEL GARDYNE (GAULD, 84): Saw a low shot blocked by Forster early into extra-time. 4.
RORY BOULDING (RANKIN, 107): A late addition, failed to add much to the tie. 2.
CELTIC:
FRASER FORSTER: Plucked the ball out of the net three times but could do little to prevent the United goals. 6.
EMILIO IZAGUIRRE: Looked dangerous on the left and supplied the delivery for goals for Wanyama and Commons. 7.
EFE AMBROSE: Looked nervous at times, with United allowed to carve out too many chances in front of goal. 6.
KELVIN WILSON: The stand-in skipper should have done better at Mackay-Steven's goal but went on to make some timely blocks. 6.
KRIS COMMONS: Fired Celtic into the lead with a long-range strike with less than two minutes on the clock and found the net again with a chested effort in the second half. 8.
JOE LEDLEY: A solid, no-frills display, the Welshman could have snatched a goal early in the second half but his header was just off target. 6.
CHARLIE MULGREW: Could have done more to prevent Daly's header in the first half and missed a couple of opportunities at set-pieces. 6.
MIKAEL LUSTIG: Put the Hoops under pressure with his pass-back to Forster and then squandered a great opportunity to find the net with a header off the post from four yards. 6.
JAMES FORREST: Made his first start since early March after recovering from a back problem and looked lively early on before lack of match action showed. 6.
VICTOR WANYAMA: Did well to set up Commons for the opener and added to the goals but was fortunate not to concede a penalty for a clumsy challenge on Mackay-Steven. A booking then ruled him out of the final. 6.
GARY HOOPER: Offered little in front of goal and failed to make much of an impact on the match. 5.
SUBSTITUTES:
BERAM KAYAL (WANYAMA, 77): Picked up a needless booking shortly after being added to the action, costing him his place in the final. 2.
ANTHONY STOKES (LUSTIG, 77): Grabbed an extra-time winner to book Celtic's place in the final against Hibernian. 7.
GEORGIOS SAMARAS (COMMONS, 103): Saw a decent shot blocked towards the end of extra-time. 3.
