Dundee v Kilmarnock: No awkward moment as Harkins sits it out against visitors

IT took Gary Harkins less than 140 characters to break the news of a transfer that had become tediously protracted.

The forward has cut short his time with Kilmarnock to return to Dundee, the moment marked by a message on his Twitter page: "Delighted to be a Dundee player again! #deefiant."

It might have been #awkward since Kilmarnock visit tomorrow, although an agreement has been struck wherby Harkins will be left out at Dens Park. It will allow for a few cordial farewells between the forward and his former team-mates, Harkins having been a popular character among the Rugby Park squad – made clear by the tearful tweets he received last night.
