Durrant: Celtic had it sewn up

Ian Durrant believed Celtic were certain to win the title as last season's Clydesdale Bank Premier League reached its climax.

‘‘We thought Celtic were out of sight,’’ said Rangers’ first-team coach yesterday.

‘‘With the players they had at their disposal and the way they were playing, it would have to be a helluva team effort to pull it back. We were seven points down at one point. When you see what they had last year and the way they were playing, I didn’t think we were good enough to claw it back.’’
