Entry is free for must-win match

Morton v Queen of the South (7.30)

Morton v Queen of the South (7.30)

Saturday's tragic events may cast a shadow over this rearranged fixture but both sides will require to focus on attempting to secure the points.

Morton's need has become even greater following Cowdenbeath's surprise win at Hamilton, a result which saw them pull eight points clear at the foot of the table. The Cappielow side have scored fewer goals than all of their rivals and manager Kenny Shiels hopes recent recruit Garry O'Connor can help solve that problem.

But Shiels expects a tough test from a Queen's side who have won three of their last four matches and who will move into the top four if they can claim the points. Both teams are likely to line up as they did on Saturday.

Morton have announced that entry will be free to tonight's match, with the family of supporter Andrew Kemp, who died at Saturday's meeting between the clubs, agreeing that a minute's applause should be held before kick-off.

While entry will be free to fans who were there at the weekend - and to others who may wish to attend - fans are being asked to make a donation to the Inverclyde Group of St Andrews First Aid in recognition of the care they gave to Mr Kemp on Saturday.

"We appreciate that there may be some supporters who attend this evening who were not at the original fixture," said the club's chief executive Gillian Donaldson. "With this in mind, there will be the opportunity for them to make a donation in lieu of the normal admission price at the turnstiles."
