Falkirk 1 Dundee 1: Finnigan leaves Falkirk in his wake

JEERS quickly turned to cheers as Carl Finnigan, the Dundee forward, came back to haunt Falkirk with a late equaliser to hand Ross County a major advantage in the race for promotion.

From the moment the No.16 illuminated the electronic board, there was an inevitability surrounding what was about to happen. Hours after leaving St Johnstone to sign on loan at Dens Park, Finnigan marked his debut with a clinical finish against the club he spent three years with. They celebrated wildly in the Dundee end and the Falkirk fans who booed him on to the pitch were left cursing the intervention. Yet, the real winners on the night were County. They now sit two points ahead of Falkirk with three games in hand.
