'Falkirk's name might just be on the trophy'

NEIL Lennon sat at Celtic's training ground yesterday and said results on the road to Hampden might tempt some to think that the team's name was on the trophy.

What made the comment interesting was that he was talking about Falkirk.

Lennon has not won the Scottish Communities League Cup since becoming manager of Celtic and to do so this season he will have to overcome Falkirk in tomorrow's semi-final. Eliminating Falkirk was beyond both Rangers and Dundee United earlier in the competition. Their results are enough to make Lennon respectful and wary of what's in store tomorrow but so, too, is the fact he knows what it is like to fall to a first division team in a Hampden semi-final. Falkirk could be as difficult as Ross County were in the Scottish Cup two years ago.
