Pars United, the Dunfermline Athletic supporters' group, are expected to take full control of the Fife club next week and bring an end to six months of administration.

Insolvency experts BDO ran the club during that time but are prepared to hand control over to fans when the final contractual formalities are completed.

Pars United - an organisation which has united various fans' groups - were successful in attaining a Company Voluntary Arrangement in July after raising enough capital to be named preferred bidders. "With new owners it will just give us more of an ability to plan ahead, although the football debt will need sorted out," said Jim Jefferies, the Dunfermline manager.

The Fife club have been allocated just 419 tickets for a match away to Rangers on October 12.
