Feruz only lasts a day in Russia, then moves to OFI Crete on loan

ISLAM FERUZ, the Scotland under-21 internationalist, has joined Greek side OFI Crete on loan, where he will link up with former Rangers and Italy midfielder Rino Gattuso.

The former Celtic youth player walked out on a loan move to Russia this week after just a day at Krylia Sovetov Samara, when he insisted he had made a mistake and flew back to London. But the Stamford Bridge club have immediately shipped him out again, this time to Heraklion club OFI Crete, where Gattuso is manager.

Feruz, who refused to play for Scotland's under-19 side in the summer, will stay with the ambitious Greek club for the rest of the season.
