FEYENOORD have resurrected their bid to sign Celtic striker John Guidetti after it looked like his wage demands would kill off the move.

The Dutch club have long been admirers of the Swedish international hitman after a successful spell on loan a few years ago where he bagged 20 goals.

However, their interest cooled over reports Guidetti was demanding wages of up to £30,000 to return to Holland.

This week, they secured the services of Colin Kazim-Richards, who will join the club permanently after a loan spell from Bursaspor.

And they have already announced the return of ex-Liverpool star Dirk Kuyt for next season.

Now Feyenoord technical director Martin van Geel has insisted the two confirmed moves doesn't change their determination to land Guidetti.

He said: "The transfers we have completed are all separate.

"We continue to investigate the possible arrival of John Guidetti.

"Next season, we want to go for the strongest possible selection within our means."

Guidetti, who has also attracted interest from French clubs, is out of contract at Manchester City in the summer.
