Steven Craig, a first-half substitute for the injured Kris Doolan, helped himself to a double and Sean Welsh and Steven Lawless were also on target as Hamilton wilted in the second half.
It took a superb double save from Scott Fox to keep out Hamilton's new on-loan signing Stevie May in the first half but, from the moment Welsh forced home the first goal from close range shortly before half-time, it was heading Partick's way.
