Ronnie Deila last night began his reign as Celtic manager with a win.

The Scottish champions defeated Russian side FK Krasnodar comfortably as they settled into a pre-season tour of Austria.

Deila - who was appointed as Neil Lennon's successor last month - selected a strong starting XI for the match at the Hofmaninger Stadion, with Kris Commons, Anthony Stokes and Virgil van Dijk among those named by the Norwegian.

Celtic made a positive start to the match as Stokes scored the first goal with a lob after just 70 seconds. Charlie Mulgrew slipped to allow Odil Ahmedov to equalise after 20 minutes, although Celtic regained their lead six minutes before half-time through Stefan Johansen.

Deila altered his entire line-up for the second half. He was rewarded five minutes after the break as young striker Callum McGregor scored a third goal.
