Steven Fletcher plans to spend the international break boosting his fitness for his club's Barclays Premier League campaign as his exile from the Scotland squad continues.
The Sunderland striker marked his league debut with both goals in Saturday's 2-2 draw at Swansea City, taking little time to settle in at his new club after £14m switch from Wolves.
Predictably the former Hibs striker's double led to renewed calls for the 25-year-old and Scotland manager Craig Levein to end their impasse.
