Betting has been suspended on who will be the next Leicester City manager after Republic of Ireland and former Celtic boss Martin O'Neill was heavily backed by punters to land the role.
O'Neill, who enjoyed great success as manager of the Foxes between 1995 and 2000 before leaving to take over at Parkhead, has not enjoyed the best of starts to his country's European Championship qualifying campaign, and he came in for criticism after last month's home draw with Scotland left his team as outsiders to reach France next summer.
William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly said: "There are some people out there who seem convinced that O'Neill is very close to getting the job if he hasn't accepted the role already."
Other names in the frame include fellow former Celtic boss Neil Lennon, currently in charge of Bolton Wanderers in the English Championship.
