The oldco club were yesterday issued with a £250,000 fine for breaching Scottish Premier League rules in relation to payments made from 2000 to 2011 as part of an Employee Benefit Trust scheme.
However, Rangers avoided the ultimate sanction of being stripped of up to five titles after the panel rejected accusations of fielding ineligible players or gaining an unfair competitive advantage during the period investigated.
