Happy ending as lost medal is returned to McGowan

And then promptly lost it. Ryan McGowan, the 22- year-old Australian, had a moment of desperation when he reached the dressing-room after scoring a goal in Hearts' 5-1 demolition over Hibernian.

"I lost my medal on the pitch,'' said McGowan of the mayhem that followed the trophy presentation. ''I didn't even know until someone tried to take a photo of me with my medal and I went to hold it up and realised it had come off the ribbon.''
