ALEX SMITH, the Falkirk technical director, is not surprised to hear that a number of clubs are chasing forward Rory Loy.

Reports emerged over the weekend that the 26-year-old former Rangers striker was being tracked by sides in the English Championship and the top flight in Scotland.

"It is not a shock as Rory has been terrific for us this season and he is fulfilling the potential he had when he was a youngster," said Smith.

"He hit a glass ceiling at Rangers where he could see the first team but wasn't given a chance in it before he moved to Carlisle. He is tied to us for another year so whilst there is interest he will not be leaving for nothing in the summer."
