Hartley considers move for El Alagui

Paul Hartley's newly promoted Dundee are looking for a striker as they gear up for life back in the top flight and are considering a move for the French forward Farid El Alagui.

El Alagui, who had a spell on loan at Dundee United towards the end of last season, is a free agent after his recent departure from Brentford United.

The 28-year-old former Falkirk favourite is back in France on holiday and it is understood he would relish the chance of a move to Dens Park.

Hartley has already made six signings since the transfer window opened and is in the market for further reinforcements.
