Hibs shape up after midweek mauling

THERE is one thing more curious than a side being beaten 4-1 at home then, days later, denying their vanquishers with a disciplined performance in an away match.

And that is Colin Calderwood.

The Hibernian manager is an unusual fellow. He enjoys his dealings with the press in the same way that Vince Cable loves the VAT man. Calderwood, though, could afford to be mischievous rather than defiant on Saturday, as his side took a deserved point from Celtic Park after surrendering in the second half at Easter Road on Wednesday in the Scottish Communities League Cup.
