Mike Riley, the chairman of the Hibernian Supporters Association, has called for unity between supporters and players of the Edinburgh side as they continue to toil.

Hibs lost to St Mirren on Saturday to leave the club just three points above the play-off spot.

Afterwards both Ben Williams and Kevin Thomson castigated their team-mates for another bad performance. Riley, though, hopes that his side will now come together to avoid the play-off.

"Right now is not the time to cause rifts," said Riley ahead of Sunday's derby with Hearts. "If [Thomson] has ruffled a few feathers it's only because he wants Hibs to avoid relegation."
