ALAN GOW, the former Rangers striker, is training with Inverness Caledonian Thistle in a bid to revive his career.

The 31-year-old is now a free agent after being released by Exeter City and rejecting a deal at Bristol Rovers, where he spent part of last season on loan.

With some of Gow's family living in the Highland capital, manager John Hughes agreed to offer training facilities. But Hughes, Gow's former Falkirk colleague, is refusing to rule out a future bid for the Scotland B cap.

"He's only just coming back from a really bad ankle injury and had to pull out of training on the second day it was aching so badly," revealed Hughes.

"So he is not an option for us right now, but who knows in the future?"
