At a time when the rest of Scottish football is winding down, the pacy Motherwell winger's season is merely hitting full stride. Having finally sorted out a Jamaican passport, Humphrey hopes to win his first call-up for the country of his birth and spend the period from mid-May to mid- June playing World Cup qualifiers against the likes of Guatemala, Antigua and Barbuda. Then, assuming Motherwell can keep hold of third place in the table, it will be straight into Champions League qualifiers in the middle of July. Rest, as they say, is for wimps. "Jamaica have a couple of qualifiers and a couple of friendlies and I'm just waiting to hear if I'm in the squads," said Humphrey, who at one time was being prevailed upon to consider playing for Scotland. "I was called up at the end of last season but I didn't have a Jamaican passport at the time. But my passport is sorted now. My mum Verna went over and sorted that for me last year because I obviously couldn't get time off to do that. All I have to do is sign one thing when I get there.
