Hamilton ACADEMICAL have completed the signing of striker Dougie Imrie for a second time with the 30-year-old putting pen to paper to re-join the newly promoted New Douglas Park club.

Player/manager Alex Neil said: "Dougie is a player I know well and I am pleased everything is now done and dusted and his contract is signed."

Imrie had a two-year spell with Hamilton from 2010 after joining them from Inverness Caledonian Thistle and scored 10 times in 80 games before moving to St Mirren.

Last season, Imrie played with Morton and he scored the two goals as the relegated Greenock club lost 10-2 to Hamilton on the final day of the league season. He said: "I am delighted to be a Hamilton player again and I am also delighted to be in the Premiership once more."
