EMILIO Izaguirre is plotting his own personal revenge mission at Parkhead on Tuesday night.

The Honduran trudged off the field last week after his country's 5-0 friendly defeat against a star-studded Brazil side in Miami and promised Robinho, a second-half substitute on the night, that it would be a decidedly different story when his AC Milan side arrive in the East End of Glasgow on Champions League duty on Tuesday.

Celtic are well aware that victory is crucial if they are to retain any hopes of making the last 16 and the Honduran is putting pressure upon himself and his team-mates to prevail against Robinho and his pals, who are currently mid-table in Serie A.

"We played very well for 60 minutes against Brazil with lots of discipline and a structure, then the coach made a few changes and they scored four goals, one after another, in quick succession," Izaguirre said. "Robinho played the last 30 minutes.

"I spoke to him on the pitch after the match and said to him 'we will see each other again in Glasgow…'.

"At the moment Milan are favourites but I think we are going to win, I have faith in God. We need to win and it is good to put pressure on ourselves, that can help us to achieve what we want to achieve."

Izaguirre, whose closest friend in Scotland is his countryman Arnold Peralta at Rangers, said he was looking forward to suspending that friendship for 90 minutes sooner or later.

"He is my friend and I would like to play against him in a big match like Celtic against Rangers," Izaguirre said. "But on the pitch, we are not friends."
