PARTICK THISTLE have today agreed a double deal to sign Callum Booth and Christie Elliott for the Jags' third season in the Premiership.

Left-back Booth has clinched a contract for the next twelve months while Elliott has committed his future to the club for a further two seasons.

Booth moved to Firhill during the January transfer window and has made a dozen appearances for the Jags since arriving on loan from Hibs.

After being told he had no future at Easter Road, Booth confirmed in SportTimes this week that he was open to the prospect of extending his stay at Thistle.

And boss Alan Archibald has moved quickly to tie the 23-year-old down on a deal for the 2015/16 campaign.

The Jags gaffer has also secured the services of Elliott for a further two years after the Englishman impressed in a variety of attacking and defensive roles this term.

The 23-year-old has only just returned to full fitness following a lengthy spell with a hand injury and will hope to feature in the final two top flight matches this season against Kilmarnock and Motherwell.

With Booth and Elliott now tied down, Archibald can turn his attentions to retaining the rest of his out of contract stars, with the likes of Firhill Player of the Year nominees Abdul Osman and Steven Lawless high on his list of priorities ahead of the new campaign.

Goalkeeper Scott Fox and defensive duo Conrad Balatoni and Stephen O'Donnell are also out of contract at the end of the season as Archibald starts putting his plans in place this summer.
