ST Johnstone are considering making an offer to the Bosnian international defender Sanel Jahic, who has been released by the Turkish side Karabukspor.
The itinerant 31-year-old centre-back has Champions League experience from his time with Cypriot side Apoel.
Tommy Wright, the St Johnstone manager, will assess him in training, along with the former Scotland Under-21 midfielder Martin Woods, 27, who is eager to rebuild his career after injury woes at Doncaster Rovers.
With defender Steven Anderson out for at least two months after undergoing surgery on a dislocated thumb, Wright is keen to add depth to his squad.
