Jim Jefferies, the Dunfermline Athletic manager, is hopeful a large crowd at Saturday's pre-season game with Hearts will bring financial reward for the stricken clubs.

Both are in administration and are subject to takeover bids from fans' groups, and ticket receipts from the match at East End Park are expected to raise £10,000 for each club.

A trophy has also been supplied by the QTS Group. "We need big crowds to back us all season and a large following on Saturday would set the tone," said Jefferies. "Hearts are in the same position and that has highlighted the game even more."
