Chris Kane, the teenage St Johnstone striker, has joined SPFL Championship side Dumbarton on loan.
The deal is for 28 days initially but the Perth club are amenable to the prospect of extending it.
It is hoped that Kane will flourish at Dumbarton, although the loan is also in response to growing discontent with the Under-20s league. "Premiership managers had a meeting and none of us are fans of the set-up," said Tommy Wright, the St Johnstone manager.
