Keatings picks second tier and Hearts over staying at Hamilton in t

ROBBIE NEILSON has made his second summer signing in 24 hours after convincing striker James Keatings to turn his back on the SPFL Premiership.

The forward has penned a two-year deal at Tynecastle after turning down an offer to stay with newly promoted Hamilton Academical.

Keatings scored 15 goals in 35 appearances last season as Hamilton won promotion and joins Morgaro Gomis in signing for the club.

"I've known him for a number of years and watched him at Celtic where he scored a lot in the youth teams and under-20s," said Neilson.

Keatings added: "Everyone knows Hearts is one of the biggest clubs in Scotland and to have the chance to play for them is a big deal for me."
