DUNDEE have announced that midfielder Kevin McBride has left the club by mutual consent.

The 33-year-old, who started off at Celtic and has also graced clubs such as Falkirk, Hibs and Motherwell had been with the club for three years and was part of the side which won the SFPL championship title last season. Manager Paul Hartley is rebuilding, however, as the club endeavour to push on in their second season back in the top flight and McBride - who made just seven appearances all season long - has been one of the victims.

Rory Loy, of Falkirk, Nicky Low, from Aberdeen, and Darryll Meggat from Alloa, have all agreed pre-contracts to join for next season, while the club have a host of players coming out of contract, including the likes of David Clarkson, Jim McAlister and Iain Davidson. "We would like to thank Kevin for his efforts during his time at Dens and wish him all the best for the future," a club statement read.
