The Parkhead side required a 92nd-minute equaliser from Charlie Mulgrew to maintain their unbeaten league record, in a match where Lennon utilised fringe players such as Amido Balde and Darnell Fisher.
Scott Brown is suspended for the Ajax game but Samaras will be fit after having stitches removed on his knee and Commons will be thrust into action after recovering from a hamstring tear. Mikael Lustig and Beram Kayal are also likely to return to the starting line-up, while Teemu Pukki and Derk Boerrigter are pushing for selection after coming off the bench yesterday.
"I should take the criticism if there's any coming our way because I picked the team," manager Lennon said. "I wanted to use the squad for this game, with such a huge game coming on Wednesday. I made four or five changes, which isn't ideal, but players need game time. So I'll take a point. It preserves the unbeaten record which obviously we're very proud of but we were a bit flat and certainly in the final third we need to do better.
"I know some of them are a little short [of time on the pitch] because of the injury problems we've had but Lustig will come through OK, Kayal will be fit, and Samaras and Commons will be fit so we'll be a lot stronger on Wednesday. We've had a heavy load of games, but I'm not using that as an excuse. The only excuse or criticism is my team selection."
