NEIL LENNON last night stepped up his interest in Kris Commons, but admitted he could sign for another club.

The Celtic midfielder is out of contract at the end of the season and has yet to sign a new deal with the Hoops.

Former Parkhead manager Lennon has made no secret of his admiration of the former Scotland player.

But with Bolton struggling to compete in the transfer market, Lennon admits the former Nottingham Forest and Derby County ace could go elsewhere.

Lennon said: "Is there interest from us? I know Kris very well, but whether we can get a deal done there is another thing.

"I think there is other interest in Kris.

"It wouldn't surprise me because of the quality of player that he is, but I know Celtic will do all they can to keep him there as well."
