Lewandowski is 'best in the world'

AS well as facing world champions Germany, Scotland will have to contend with the best striker on the planet in Robert Lewandowski during their Euro 2016 campaign, according to Gibraltar manager Allen Bula, who is aiming to shackle the Bayern Munich forward during their qualifier in Faro.

The tiny British territory face Poland in their first-ever competitive match as a UEFA-recognised nation on Sunday, and Bula believes his back-line face the ultimate challenge. "The offensive power of Poland is the biggest danger," said the 49-year-old. "They have players in the final third who are a real threat.

"In my view, they have the best traditional No.9 in the world - Robert Lewandowski - and they can be devastating on the counter attack. However, like any team, they have weaknesses and we will look to exploit them."
