NEWCASTLE UNITED'S Australian under-20 and under-23 internationalist Curtis Good last night joined Dundee United on loan for the rest of season.

The 20-year-old former Melbourne Heart defender will be in the squad for today's SPFL Premiership match away to Partick Thistle, with Gavin Gunning sidelined by a knee injury.

Good joined Newcastle in the summer of 2012 on a six-year deal and made his first-team debut in the League Cup this term.

Jackie McNamara, the Tannadice manager, said: "Curtis is left-footed and can play as a central defender or left back. I'm very happy to have this deal completed."
