Macedonia confident of filling Pandev's boots against Serbs

Cedomir Janevski, the Macedonia coach, has played down the absence of Goran Pandev for his side's World Cup qualifier against Serbia tomorrow night.

The talismanic striker is suspended.

Pandev was booked in the final minute of his side's defeat by Croatia on Friday night. But his manager has insisted that his side will be able to cope.

"It's a shame for Goran that he picked up another booking. We can't change that," said Janevski. "We have other players who can do as good a job as Goran. It's a chance for someone to show what they can do. We keep making mistakes in our games and that is costing us."
