STEVIE May, the Sheffield Wednesday striker, has not put any immediate pressure on himself to break into the Scotland senior squad.

The 21-year-old will return north to team up with the under-21 squad ahead of European Championship qualifying matches against Slovakia and Luxembourg.

The forward joined Wednesday from St Johnstone last month for a fee in the region of £800,000 but is content to work his way through the ranks on the international scene.

"I want to impress at that level and hope that it can lead to a call-up to the full squad," said May. "But I'm happy to bide my time. I'm not losing any sleep over it. I'm still learning my trade and can't wish for things too quickly."
