After months spent sitting contentedly in third place in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League, there have been signs that the position is no longer as secure as it once was.
St Johnstone can effectively be put out of the running today, though. The Perth side have edged to within five points of their hosts, but a defeat would likely prove terminal to their ambitions of stealing into third place. As if the sight of Keith Lasley won't be disconcerting enough. The Motherwell midfielder has played only once in the past month due to suspensions, his absence coinciding with his side's dip in form.
