McCoist: Going up would be success

ALLY McCOIST has conceded he deserves to be judged on his record after the Rangers manager came in for criticism when their sluggish start to the season got worse with defeat in the Ramsdens Cup at home to Queen of the South on Tuesday night.

His stance earlier in the year in publicly defending the club as Rangers slumped to the brink of liquidation earned him the goodwill of many supporters but he admits that alone should not shelter him if results do not improve.
