Aberdeen striker Niall McGinn admits he is sick and tired of hitting the woodwork instead of the back of the net.
The Northern Irishman - who this week penned a new two-and-a-half-year deal - has five goals from 25 appearances for the Dons this term.
But the former Celtic youngster - who netted 22 goals as he topped the club's scoring chart two seasons ago - believes he should be back among the club's leading marksmen this term.
McGinn, who travel to Inverness on Sunday looking to keep up the pressure on Dundee United and Celtic at the top of the table, told RedTV: "We are on a good little run at the moment.
"We have got our consistency back and hopefully we can keep that going during the festive fixtures.
"It has been a slightly frustrating spell for me as I keep hitting the woodwork. I will keep working hard and hopefully the goals will come for me.
"Although I have not scored as many goals, I think this season is the best so far for assists."
McGinn's new deal ties him to Pittodrie until the summer of 2017.
Strike partner Adam Rooney has also agreed a new three-and-a-half-year deal and McGinn is certain the club are set more success after festive celebrations are out of the way.
He said: "This is a great club and I am enjoying being here. Since I came here I loved every moment - winning the league cup, playing on a regular basis which has enabled me to get my career back on track again.
"That has helped with my international career as well.
"It is great to see Adam signing as well. He is a close friend. I sit beside him in the changing room and we spend a lot of time together so I am pleased he has signed as well. It is good to see the young boys getting signed as well.
"Hopefully there are good times ahead.
"I always knew Aberdeen was a big club when I first arrived even though we were not doing that well. The manager has got the club to back to a level it should be at and we have progressed massively.
"We have progressed every season and hopefully we will continue to do so. It is an enjoyable place to play your football at the moment."
