John McGlynn expects to learn next week whether he will be appointed as the new Hearts manager following an interview with the club.
The Raith Rovers manager has met with David Southern, Hearts' managing director, and also held a conference call with Vladimir Romanov, the club's owner, and director Sergejus Fedotovas.
McGlynn had already been due to be at Hearts' Riccarton training base this month having arranged for his Raith squad to use the facility for pre-season training.
