DARREN MCGREGOR hopes Rangers can take the positives from their Tynecastle stalemate on Saturday into the play-off clash this weekend.
Stuart McCall's side shipped two late goals in Gorgie as they dropped more Championship points and the Jambos clinched a 2-2 draw thanks to a Genero Zeefuik double.
A McGregor header and Kenny Miller strike should have been enough to secure the win for the Light Blues but it was to prove a disappointing day all round for the Gers.
A trip to Queen of the South on Saturday is next on the Ibrox agenda and McGregor is keen to look on the bright side.
"I got a wee header, my first one of the season, which I'm known for," he told RangersTV.
"I've been scoring with my feet this season so I was a bit surprised to get the header. But it was a goal that put us up and Kenny done well for the second as well.
"As I say they had sustained pressure and I thought we defended really well up until ten minutes to go and it was one of these things - the big man mountain Zeefuik comes on so once he plants himself it's very difficult to get round him.
"But as I said it was good to go there and put in a performance for a large part of the game and if we need to take the positives from that into the Queen of the South game which we know will be difficult."
Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
heraldscotland.com is tackling this problem by allowing only subscribers to comment.
We are doing this to improve the experience for our loyal readers and we believe it will reduce the ability of trolls and troublemakers, who occasionally find their way onto our site, to abuse our journalists and readers. We also hope it will help the comments section fulfil its promise as a part of Scotland's conversation with itself.
We are lucky at The Herald. We are read by an informed, educated readership who can add their knowledge and insights to our stories.
That is invaluable.
We are making the subscriber-only change to support our valued readers, who tell us they don't want the site cluttered up with irrelevant comments, untruths and abuse.
In the past, the journalist’s job was to collect and distribute information to the audience. Technology means that readers can shape a discussion. We look forward to hearing from you on heraldscotland.com
