ALLAN McGREGOR was last night stuck in football limbo after the SFA refused to sanction his move to Besiktas.

The former Rangers and Scotland goalkeeper moved to Turkey last month on an £18,000-a-week, two-year contract.

However, Rangers are demanding a £2 million transfer fee for McGregor.

And because of this, the SFA have refused to hand over international clearance to the Turkish Football Federation (TFF).

The TFF said: "This is because his football club have questioned the player's right to leave for nothing. We do not recognise the transfer as completed."

Meanwhile, ex-Ranger David Healy is ready to sign for former club Preston North End. He scored four goals in 19 appearances in an 18-month spell at Ibrox.
