Jim McInally, the Peterhead manager, has had an initial four-match suspension reduced to just two matches following an appeal.

The coach yesterday contested the ban, which he incurred after becoming embroiled in a row with referee John McKendrick following a match with East Stirlingshire in November.

McInally is thought to have asked the official to dine in a separate area from his squad after fearing the reaction of his players, although the manner of his request drew a complaint from McKendrick.

However, an initial touchline ban has since been reduced and the £500 appeal fee returned. McInally will begin his ban on Saturday.
