Derek McInnes, the Aberdeen manager, and his assistant, Tony Docherty, have both agreed contract extensions that will run until the summer of 2019.
The alliance of McInnes and Docherty have helped to galvanise the Pittodrie club and their efforts were rewarded with a Scottish League Cup win in 2014 as the Dons ended a trophy drought stretching back to 1995. McInnes is eager to make further progress and is targeting more silverware having decided to extend his stay in the Granite City.
"I don't want our tenure with Aberdeen to be remembered for having lifted one trophy," McInnes told BBC Scotland Sport. "While we've achieved some progress, we still have a long way to go.
"Tony and I are totally committed to bringing as much success as we possibly can to this club
"This is a great club, with great fans and a fantastic squad of players and I'm looking forward to what promises to be an exciting season ahead."
Aberdeen chairman Stewart Milne said the news was a welcome boost for the club's supporters.
"Derek and Tony have made tremendous progress in the two years they have been here and I'm absolutely delighted that they want to remain to see through the job that they've started," Milne added.
Meanwhile, Aberdeen have completed the signing of former Motherwell, Cardiff and Ross County defender Paul Quinn on a two-year deal.
The 29-year-old, who becomes Aberdeen's third summer signing after Graeme Shinnie and Joe Nuttall, said: "Aberdeen is huge club and I can't wait to get started. When I heard Derek McInnes was interested in signing me, it was something of a no-brainer while playing in Europe was another major factor."
McInnes added. "I'm delighted to sign Paul, who has been a major influence on Ross County's form in the second half of the season. We're looking forward to him having a positive influence on our team.
"We've watched Paul on several occasions in the last few months and the key qualities he'll bring to the team are his experience, leadership and competitiveness. You cannot have too many leaders on the pitch."
