JIM McINTYRE believes Ross County have the guile to unlock Hamilton Accies and secure three points in Dingwall tomorrow - if they can keep their own back door shut.

The Global Energy Stadium encounter pits the Premiership's surprise package with a team that has only just hoisted itself off bottom spot for the first time since the second week of the campaign.

County will be buoyed by that achievement after more than four months anchored tight at the foot of the table but McIntyre is more than wary of the visitors' threat. Accies made a storming start after promotion, winning nine and losing just one of their first 13 matches in the top flight.

Since then, they have dipped in form and been hit with five defeats from eight, and McIntyre stressed: "The start Hamilton had to the season surprised everyone. "But they've got good players and the games were difficult when we played them with Queen of the South. They've got pace and energy but also players with quality. "They've been a great addition to the league and play the game in the right manner.

"We'll have our hands full, there's no doubt about that. "But we're at home, playing well and creating chances so we need to continue to do that. What we do need to do is keep the back door shut at the other end. "Consistency, momentum, call it what you will, that's what Hamilton had at the start of the season. "They picked up a lot of points and were deservedly top of the league for a bit. That's exactly what we want to do - achieve a run of consistency by getting back-to-back results and climbing the table."
