Lewis Macleod has been released by Scotland to play in Rangers' Championship match with Alloa at Ibrox tomorrow.

The 20-year-old midfielder received his first call up by Gordon Strachan for European Championship qualifier against Republic of Ireland at Celtic Park and the home friendly against England.

However, speaking at the club's Murray Park training ground this afternoon, Rangers manager Ally McCoist revealed that after a chat with Strachan, he will have Macleod at his disposal.

He said: "Gordon and I spoke and Lewis can play for us tomorrow.

"He trained with us this morning. He is thoroughly enjoying his time with the Scotland boys.

"I think he is going to the game tonight and he will turn up tomorrow and be in the squad for the game against Alloa."
