JACKIE McNAMARA intends to hold talks with Jon Daly in an attempt to convince his captain to remain at Dundee United despite interest from Rangers and elsewhere.
The Ibrox club are eager to discuss a pre-contract switch with the 30-year-old striker, who has scored 70 goals since signing from Hartlepool in 2007, and have notified United of their intentions. The Irish forward was verbally offered a one-year extension earlier in the campaign but is keen to explore the possibility of a longer deal elsewhere.
