MURRAY DAVIDSON, the St Johnstone defender who once called Almondvale home, has bittersweet recollections of a previous cup tie with Livingston:

his club won 3-0, but he tore his medial ligament.

"I am hoping for the same scoreline but to avoid injury this time," he said. "I have a lot of good memories from my time at Livi. Most of the lads I knew from that time have moved on but I still have a massive amount of affection for Livingston."

He warned that St Johnstone will have to be on top of their game to progress, though. "People will have us down as favourites because we are playing a Championship side," he said. "But they have a good blend of young players and experienced pros. We will have to be spot on from the first whistle."
