Murray appointed new Raith manager on two-year deal

Grant Murray has been appointed player/manager at Raith Rovers, replacing the departed John McGlynn.

The 36-year-old defender, who has been a mainstay since joining the club in 2009, has signed a two-year contract extension in his new role.

Fellow Raith defender Laurie Ellis has been appointed first-team coach. McGlynn's assistant Paul Smith, who has been acting as interim manager in recent days, will continue as Murray's No.2.
